KCD Professional Website Care Plan
Website Care Plan Agreement
Specifically, the ongoing website care needs to fulfill the following business needs:
- Continual performance with reduced errors and optimal load times
- Monitoring of any issues during WordPress and plugin updates
- Communication with the web host on troubleshooting bugs or hosting issues
- Additional security measures to help protect against spam, hacking and malicious activity
- Tracking website traffic and user activity
Professional Website Care Plan Details:
The monthly plan will consist of KCD Web Services executing the following services:
- Update WordPress to the latest version
- Update plugins to their latest version
- Backup website database and site files and save in off-site, off-server location
- Optimize the WordPress database
- Perform SPAM & revisions cleanup
- Run regular security and performance scans
- Provide a detailed Monthly Report of updates and findings
- Perform support requests up to an allotted 30 minutes a month
Additionally, the following "behind the scenes" features are included in every plan:
- A dedicated support desk to track requests and development time
- Regular site health checks
- Uptime monitoring so we are aware when the site has performance issues
- Licensing of some/all of these premium plugins & software used on sites created by KCD Web Services:
- Thrive Theme & Content Builders
- Gravity Forms Plugin
- Backup Buddy Plugin

By agreeing to the plan you authorize KCD Web Services to charge your credit card for the specified amount each month/year. If you've chosen the invoice option, you agree to make your payment within 15 days of receiving the invoice. Payment will continue until either KCD Web Services or you, the Client, request to cancel your plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need an ongoing plan when my web host updates my WordPress version?
Web hosting providers may or may not update your WordPress software for you (please check their policy), but web hosts do not update your plugins.
WordPress plugins are created by multiple authors, and are consistently updated to newer versions to comply with the latest version of WordPress, or to address security issues and bugs. It is not guaranteed that the mandated updates to WordPress will not break the website, nor that plugins will continue to function if not updated.
For this reason, having a trained web specialist on hand to monitor the website is necessary to update the plugins , rollback plugins, replace plugins or even adjust the theme to continue optimal performance.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you an cancel anytime. You are under no obligation to continue the ongoing service. We just ask you give us 7 days notice so we can carry out our last thorough update of the website and remove our administrator credentials.
How do I contact you when I have a problem?
We provide a support ticket desk for quick turnaround and tracking of all support requests. You can submit all requests to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will reply withing normal business hours.
What support requests are included?
The Professional Website Care Plan provides 30 minutes of support time each month. Send us a support ticket to add/edit content, adjust design elements, ask us questions or schedule a call. We'll provide whatever support you need up to 30 minutes monthly.
If the requested task(s) are likely to exceed the 30 minutes for the month, we'll let you know. You can decide whether to carry the task forward to the next month or purchase additional support time.
Before Anything Else: These Terms are Legally Binding
You are engaging KCD Web Services, as an independent contractor to perform work as described in the package(s) or service(s) you have purchased. In the event access to your website is necessary, you hereby authorize KCD Web Services access and "write permissions" to all directories and files of your account with any other third party hosting provider, as well as permission to install any necessary WordPress plugins for maintenance and security.
Pricing & Payments:
Once a client of KCD Web Services, you authorize KCD Web Services to charge the payment method you submitted for all invoices generated for the services rendered under this ongoing website care plan. Credit card charges will appear as KCD WEB SERVICES on your statement.
If preferred, we will invoice on a quarterly or annual basis (in advance, 10-day payment term)
Cancellation of any monthly recurring service can occur at any time after your first one month (30 days) of service.
Once the web care plan is cancelled the client is responsible for all maintenance on the site. Licenses purchased/provided by KCD Web Services will be deactivated. New licenses will have to be purchased by the client in order to receive updates to plugins and theme software.
In order to cancel your recurring payment or change payment method, simply contact KCD Web Services at email@example.com , prior to your payment's due date.
Third Party or Client Page Modification:
You acknowledge that you and/or your staff have access to independently edit or update web pages with the WordPress platform.
You also acknowledge that anyone other than or its subcontractors who attempt to update the website and damages the design or impairs the ability for the web pages to display or function properly, may result in time to repair the web pages in order to restore the website.
In this event, damages will be assessed at an hourly rate of $75 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Work to repair the website from third-party modifications is outside of the support time and scope of the ongoing website care plan.
Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer of Warranties
Although we strive for your website's optimal performance and security, we did not build the WordPress software or plugins used on the website, nor are we supplying the hosting platform it runs on.
For this reason, KCD Web Services does not represent, guarantee or warrant that the functions contained in these web pages or internet website will be uninterrupted, error-free, free from loss, corruption, attack, viruses, interference, hacking, or other security intrusions, and KCD Web Services disclaims any liability relating thereto.
To the extent not prohibited by law, in no event will KCD Web Services be liable to the client or any third party for any damages, including, but not limited to, any lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, business interruption, or incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to operate these web pages or website, however caused, even if KCD Web Services has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
